Privacy

What we keep, and why.

Last updated 18 October 2026.

When you book

We store your name, email, optional phone number, dance role if you give it, and what you booked, so we can run the door list and contact you if the night changes. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see your card number. Booking records are kept for 24 months for our accounts, then deleted.

Emails

You'll get a confirmation email for every booking. We only send news about new dates and line-ups if you ticked the box, and every email has an unsubscribe link.

Contact forms

Messages sent through the contact and interest forms are delivered to Karen by our hosting provider (Netlify) and kept only as long as needed to reply.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no tracking cookies. Stripe sets its own cookies on its payment page to prevent fraud. If we add privacy-friendly analytics later, we'll say so here.

Photos

We take photos and short videos at events for Instagram and this site. Tell Karen on the door if you'd prefer not to be in them, or message us to have one taken down.

Your rights

Ask us any time to see, correct or delete what we hold about you: karenmcquire@yahoo.com. Data controller: SalsaUnity Events, Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
